Drop-off & Pick Up

Arrival at School
For those students being dropped off at school, the car line is located at the north end of the building (in the back) to drop off students from 7:15 to 7:25. The drop off line ends once the buses arrive and parents will need to park in the gravel parking lot to the northeast of the building.  Our crossing guard will be there until 7:30 a.m. to escort parents and students across the street (the back doors will be closed once the crossing guard enters the building).  Attendance is taken in the classroom at 7:35 a.m.  Students arriving after 7:35 a.m. are considered tardy and will have to check in to the office (Door 1) for a late slip.

Departure at School
At 2:05 p.m., students who ride the bus will be dismissed and the buses will leave by 2:10 p.m.  Parent pick up will take place at the north end of the building immediately following the exit of the buses. We will once again be using the car line code system.  Only Compass Learning and Little Sprouts daycare buses will be in the front of the building for picking up students who attend their childcare centers. Walkers who reside south of IPS are dismissed to the front so they can use the crosswalk.  Walkers that live north of IPS are dismissed out the back. 

Student Pickup
Students who are picked up before the end of the day (2:05 p.m.) must be signed out in the school office. You must provide a state issued photo identification when picking up students. In the interest of student safety, office personnel will arrange for the student(s) to come to the office to meet you.
Note: Please be aware that early pickup of a student will affect his/her “perfect attendance” record.
